Country Kitchen was started, by Jane Wilson, in 1970. It all happened when some neighbours required catering for a small gallery opening. After which other people asked her to cook for them when they were entertaining and had no time. The idea of supplying food from her well stocked freezer was then born.

A list of dishes was made up and the name 'Country Kitchen' was registered as a business. The list of dishes was sent to friends and neighbours. There appeared to be a demand for this type of service, and within a year other people were drawn in to help.

The Freezer Shop is an important part of the business - there is a great demand for 'home-cooked' family and dinner-party food. The shop is open from 9.30-5.00p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Saturday by appointment only.

We specialise in catering for parties in your own house, or any other location for 20-50 guests or more. We will prepare the food ready for collection from us. For larger parties for 20 guests or more the food will be made fresh for the occasion and can be put into our own serving dishes, ready to be re-heated or served cold, which can be returned after the occasion.

We do not supply staff but can deliver (extra charge for delivery) and we have crockery, cutlery and glasses available for hire for up to 50 guests. No extra charge for VAT.
